My Students

My second grade students are a very dynamic and energetic group who are very curious about the world around them. This year I have seen tremendous growth from students in the few months that we have been in class already. It is very fun for me to watch these kids grow and reach their potential each and every day. Our classroom is a positive place that students can come to work towards their goals in order to prepare for a successful future!

My Project

In my classroom I have many students who enjoy moving while they learn. In our classroom we love to have the freedom to move and stay active, however our curriculum in 2nd grade is very rigorous and unfortunately we have to spend a majority of our time sitting. I feel that these stools would benefit my students by allowing them to get out their wiggles in order to help them retain focus. As students are able to retain their focus they are better able to meet the learning goals that I have set for them. Research has proven that flexible seating has many benefits to learning and I am very excited to give my students this opportunity!
