My Students

I teach an amazing group of 4th graders! They are always excited to learn and they love to discover new things and create. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds, are very energetic, and love to learn through movement or doing activities with their hands. I want my classroom to be a safe learning environment where students can learn and grow, make mistakes, use growth mindsets, and become the best people they can be.

My Project

My aim is to incorporate more natural ways for students to move within the classroom, in order to help them focus and listen better, as we target crucial skills that have been missed over the past two years. Movement has been shown to increase attention and concentration, and helps students from those with ADHD, to those with an abundance of energy. After 2 years of learning through a pandemic, many of my students are academically and socially behind, and the learning deficit is real.

I believe that these wobble stools will help my struggling students to be able to focus during small group instruction, where most of the progress has been made with filling in learning gaps from the pandemic, and targeting crucial skills that lead to success.

I believe that these stools will be a game changer for my energetic and fidgety students in helping them catch up and pay attention, when they have struggled desperately to learn from home these past two years. These products will help improve attention and concentration during these crucial lessons as we fill in learning gaps and make progress in our classroom.
