We are a K-8 magnet school focusing on performing and visual arts. Our kids come from all over the district with a passion for learning. We draw kids from every socioeconomic background. Our school is a Title I school, meaning that we are 100% free lunch.
Students learn through hands-on activities, cooperative learning, and by creating and designing projects to present to the class.
My class is full of eager learners who are ready to explore the world around them. We have three 2nd grade classrooms and we rotate subjects. I teach science as part of the rotations.
I am asking for Wobble cushions that help promote slight movements and adjustments for the user while they sit. These movements keep the body more engaged, alleviating the negative effects of prolonged sitting.
When sat on the inflated cushion creates instability (a wobble!) encouraging the user to engage their back and core muscles.
The cushion can be used on a chair or on the floor, this helps the child to focus on the task at hand. Wobble cushions are a great way to stop fidgeting caused by a distracted learner.
I am also asking for a set of 5 stools to help promote student posture while we are working in small groups.
