Wobble Cushions for All!

Help me give my students wobble cushions to use for flexible seating. These cushions will help students who can't sit still, who have specific sensory needs, and/or who enjoy sitting on the floor.

My Students

My students are a great group of strong kids who come from difficult backgrounds. I work at a Title I, urban school with students from various backgrounds and home situations. All the students at this school receive free lunch. These students come to school every day with smiles on their faces! This school is very diverse and I want each student to feel represented. My classroom includes students who are new to the country and are learning English. I have students who speak Creole, Spanish, Portuguese, or English.

My Project

These wobble cushions will make a big difference in my students' daily routines. The purpose of wobble cushions is to provide additional sensory support on top of either the floor or a traditional chair. They allow students to shift their weight and wiggle, making minimal noise.

My students will benefit from these because they will meet their sensory needs, allow them to wiggle during instruction, and make sitting on the floor more comfortable.

Each student has different seating preferences, and these cushions will help tremendously! Students will be able to grab a cushion when they feel like it will help them better focus and therefore learn!
