My Students
My students come from a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds...and most have been studying Mandarin since Kindergarten. My students are smart and hardworking and they like to be challenged. They are making great progress in studying the Chinese language. Overall they are doing extremely well academically in both subjects. However, many of the students come from low socio-economic families and they need your help in supplying the study materials they need to excel in school. Our school is trying to provide equitable access for all students.
My Project
I have 58 students in my two classes. Some students are very active and can't sit still. These wobble chairs will give them an alternative to traditional classroom chairs.
When I give instruction I often have the students sit on a rug at the front of the classroom.
It's hard for the more active students to sit on the rug, so this will give them a good alternative.
I already have a couple of these wobble chairs in my classroom and the students love to sit on them. Getting five more of these chairs will help more students stay focused.
