Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are creative, eager to learn, kind-hearted, and enthusiastic! They absolutely love reading and beg for more books to read!

Many of my students come from very low-income homes with few if any books at home, and over half of the class are English language learners.

My students are the most gracious group for what I am able to teach them. They are truly amazing, and I am very thankful to have each new group of learners who are excited and ready to learn year after year!

My Project

My students are an active bunch! We are constantly moving and doing brain breaks in the classroom. However, when it comes time to work, most of my students have trouble working while sitting in a "normal chair."

By having the option to sit in a "wobble chair," they have the opportunity to work and move!

Some of the chairs in my classroom have rounded legs that are connected, and the students rock in them. This is unsafe and makes me worried that they will fall and get hurt. With the Wobble Chairs, they would be able to rock safely while working!
