My Students

My students are students that deserve the world. Although our school is a low-performing school we met expected growth last year and aspire to exceed growth this school year. We come from a Title I school with low socio-economic status. Our students are the best in the world and we want them to receive the most effective education. In order to do so, we need the resources to help them be successful students. Due to Hurricane Florence many of our students were displaced and lost their homes and their belongings.

Our rural community was hit really hard by Hurricane Florence.

Please help us provide our students with the best education and resources that they most definitely deserve and are eager for as we rebuild our community and strive to provide our students with what they need to succeed.

My Project

In my class, we use an easel daily for many activities. I use an easel for small groups and whole group. Students are able to visualize the skills that we are focusing on day to day, including all subjects: Reading, Math, Writing, Social Studies, and Science. The easel allows me to project through writing and anchor charts what the students need to take notes on and what they need to know about that certain skill. For example, the easel will allow me to hang my anchor charts for Math and Reading. These anchor charts will portray words and pictures that will allow the students to better understand what they are being taught. This easel will create a positive learning environment for my students because it is easier to learn when visual aids are provided.
