My Project

These materials will allow my students to participate in small group book clubs. This will allow me to create engaging enrichment small groups with my students. I selected books that will challenge them.

This will give me the opportunity to get books in my students hands.

They will be assigned a chapter to read and will be able to take the books home to read. They will bring the books back and we will meet around the table in our small group. Often we will have a snack as we discuss the book. We will talk about the setting and the characters. Students will be able to make predictions and connections with the text. The discussion with their peers is engaging and helps students to pick up things they may have missed.

I also requested some small prize box rewards for students, such as mochi squishy toys, bracelets, and stickers. They get so excited for opportunities to go to the prize box.
