My students need an Apple TV to enhance the use of iPads in our general music classroom.

My Students

Triadelphia Middle School, located in Wheeling, WV, is one of the largest middle schools in our district. Approximately one-third of our students come from low income households. Our students are bright, creative and love using technology in the classroom.

Thanks to grants, our school has a class set of iPads for our general music students.

With the iPad, we use apps like Virtuoso to reinforce piano skills, and GarageBand to give our students the opportunity to compose music for a variety of instruments. These iPads are also used to access our online general music textbooks.

My Project

Our iPads provide endless opportunities for technology integration and differentiated instruction. To maximize the potential of our iPads, our students would greatly benefit from the addition of an Apple TV to our classroom.

The Apple TV will allow our classroom iPads to cast directly to our intelliboard.

This will provide opportunities for our students to visually present projects and compositions in class. Also, as the instructor, I will have the ability to cast my teacher iPad to enrich demonstrations and instruction.

We are hopeful that the generous donors of DonorsChoose.org will help make this purchase happen for the general music students of our middle school. Thank you!
