There is always anticipation and excitement on the first day of the new school year. Everything is new and exciting for my very young students.
My kindergarten students attend school in a very large urban district in Texas where resources are very limited.
My very young students come to school very eager and excited to learn reading, writing, math and how to get along with others. It is easy to remember that wonderful feeling of starting school with new friends.
Flu season is here and many of my students have been affected by it. Due to this, they have missed many days of school and thus their learning is negatively affected.
My students need wipes and sanitizer to keep the classroom germ-free and plastic containers to store their books/classwork!
The wipes and sanitizer will allow me to maintain a germ-free classroom and ensure that my students remain healthy to attend class daily. The year is half over and our supplies are almost gone! Every day I teach my students to use sanitizer to stay healthy. I arrive early and stay late to wipe off their learning areas because these little hands are busy all day long using manipulatives, writing or reading! The plastic storage containers will be used to keep their books clean and organized! Also, some containers will be used to keep their student work!
