Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students love to be outside. When winter hits, our playground is covered in snow and ice. Students are more limited on what they can do or play. I would like to help them enjoy winter recess time. The snowshoes would allow students to safely move and play while getting good exercise and learning a lifetime skill. We have a couple hills on the playground where the sleds would be great to use and the igloo blocks would make for some fun building opportunities. The throwing targets would allow students to throw the snow without getting in trouble for throwing snow. We live in a winter wonderland for several months, these items would elevate our playground to a more fun and engaging winter recess wonderland during winter months.
