Winter Read Alouds: Seasonal Storytime STEAM

Help me give my students new winter-themed picture books for read aloud and Storytime STEAM lessons.

My Project

My project will provide my students with a variety of new picture books relating to the winter season, snow and nature. These picture books will also inspire new literacy-based STEAM challenges during the winter months.

Students will begin each Storytime STEAM lesson by listening to one of these new winter read alouds.

Then students will complete a STEM challenge that relates to the read-aloud by coding, engineering, conducting an experiment or creating digital content. I am continually trying to integrate more diverse books into my library as well as purposefully integrate them into weekly STEAM lessons in my K-5 school.
