My Students
I want my classroom to feel safe for my students. Some of my students come from poverty-stricken homes. They need books and teachers to help the world come alive to them through reading. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” ― Nelson Mandela.
My students are living in a high poverty area with a free lunch program.
These kids are fourth graders that are either right at grade level or far below grade level. They desire to have someone in their life that shows interest in them. Even though they live in lives of poverty, they are very capable of learning if given the proper resources. They are seeking approval and people that truly believe in them.
My Project
It is freezing cold here in Ohio. We haven't been above twenty degrees in two weeks! This means everyone is stuck inside all day long together.
We need to clean everything to keep us healthy!
This is the time of year when everyone starts getting sick. When they are sick, they miss school. When they miss school, they aren't learning. These supplies will help keep the germs away from my students in class. We need more hand sanitizer and soap to use daily while in class and before lunch. We need paper towels and cleaning products to help sanitize our classroom as much as we can!
