My Project

My students come from low income households. Every week they come to track practice at 7:00 in the morning. They are dedicated and committed to improving their overall health and wellness. We would like to run outside but many students don't have the proper gear to go outside.

Having hats and neck warmers would allow my students to run outside so that they can increase their cardiovascular endurance.

When running outside on the track we can practice more skills than if we were in the gym. My students are running their first track meet in a few weeks and I know they want to be as prepared as possible.

Many times my students don't eat a proper breakfast, so having extra snacks like Nature Valley Bars allows them to have nutrients when running.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
