Citizens for hope and change. That's the students that I teach. Everyday, they come in eager to learn so they can help shape the world around them. Change agents is what I call them.
They are willing to be the change we want to see in the world.
As I teach American government, my students relate the past to what is going on in our world right now. They know and they are willing to stand up for the true meaning of democracy.
My Project
I am asking for sweaters to help my students stay warm while they commute to school during the fall and winter months. Many students wear short sleeved uniform shirts, and their parents can't afford to buy them sweaters that will help keep them warm.
My students are driven to work hard and be the change we want to see in the world.
They should not be embarrassed because their sweaters are too short or too big because they are hand-me-downs. I want my students to be confident and comfortable while they are learning. Looking professional puts them on the right path to acting professional and putting forth their best efforts.
