My Students

My students are from Kindergarten to 5th grade. They are English Language Learners and students who need additional support in math. They are attending an inner city Title I school. Most of them are from families of color. They are working super hard to change their lives. Right now, they are working on developing the math skills that they need to be successful in the general education classroom. They are enthusiastic and motivated. They love school. They love math. They will succeed.

My Project

I do not have a Smartboard in my teaching area. We need a Smart TV to connect to my work laptop to use as a Smartboard. The Smart TV will allow us to show examples and save the work we do from day to day. Right now everything has to be erased between groups. Students are very interested in the technology in the classroom. This can be a motivation for the students to active participate in the lessons. In addition to save the work from day to day, we will be able to access video clips to support learning. They will love it for years to come.
