Wild, Wonderful West Virginia 1st Graders Need Flexible Seating
My students need wobble stools, balance ball chairs, and bouncy bounds as an outlet for their energy while learning.
This project expired on July 13, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are energetic, eager to learn, fabulous first graders. My school is a school-wide Title I school, where all students receive free breakfast and lunch due to our high population of children living in poverty.
Although my students face challenges in their young lives, they are still passionate about learning and doing their best in school.
Seeing their excitement for learning makes me want to do all I can to give them the best learning resources. Their excitement for learning is contagious!
I am excited at the prospect of being able to offer my students more flexible seating options in my classroom. Children are not meant to be still. They are happiest when they are moving while engaged in learning. Many children today cope with ADHD, and ADD, and some have tough home lives. I want to show them that they are important and valued in my classroom.
I want to provide my students with flexible seating to help them reach their full potential for learning in first grade.
I want to provide the best learning environment for my students, and that includes furniture such as wobble stools, yoga chairs, and bouncy bands that allows them to be just who they are - wiggly, wild and wonderful first graders.
