Wild Uniforms for Wild Leaders

Help me give my students comfort while on the trail! These poly blend shirts will wipe away sweat and smells while our WILD (Wilderness Inspired Leadership Development) Students are hiking up the AT or in our urban backyard.

My Project

Our school hosts the lending gear library for all of Southern New England through our close partnership with the Appalachian Mountain Club, which means that we are able to get our city kids into the WILD. WILD (Wilderness Inspired Leadership Development) The program is embedded within our school programming that allows students access to safely create a relationship with the outdoors and each other. Sometimes, we go on smaller hikes with neighboring middle school students and act as mentors to them at local parks, and sometimes we drive to New Hampshire to hop on the AT and stay under the stars and in AMC huts.

No matter what, we get smelly and sweaty and need good under shirts to wick away the sweat.

plan is to have students design a new WILD Logo and sell ad space on these shirts, so that we can fully fund our program and keep our kids a little less smelly.
