My Students
As a Speech Language Pathologist serving grades K-5, my students come to me with varied areas of delay. They trust me with the important task of assisting them to improve their speech, communication and expressive and receptive language skills. Their language impairments impact not only their academic functioning, but the equally important areas of social and emotional competence. My students inspire me with their determination and positive attitudes while facing challenges at such a young age. My greatest joy is that my students look forward to time spent in my classroom, and I continually strive to make their speech experience a bright part of their day.

COVID-19 has directly impacted students with communication delays.
My students have exhibited increased worry and anxiety about communicating with peers and adults in the school setting.
The hands on interactive materials that I'm requesting accelerate progress and solidify concepts to makeup for lost time. Students are more engaged when a variety of materials are used during speech sessions and learning gains are evident. I also work with students with social communication delays who benefits from sensory calming and specialized seating.
