My Students

I have 27 amazing third graders. They are a smart, passionate, and energetic group of learners. Each day they amaze me with their love and enjoyment of learning.

My students are very active.

They need frequent opportunities to move around. Having a classroom that supports this is important to me, however with 27 students finding the space for extra movement has been challenging. Our classroom is full of not just learning but also people. We do not have a lot of extra room to provide the brain and movement breaks I would like to be able to provide them with.

My Project

The goal of this project is to meet the sensory needs of the children in my third grade classroom. These wobble chairs are meant to let children work off energy while still attending to a lesson. Students will be able to use these chairs during independent work time and whole/small group instruction.

Having these wobble chairs will not only allow students an extra chance at movement during the day, they will also open up space in our classroom!

The ability for my students to move will increase their participation and maximize the learning time in our classroom. They will love having them!
