This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students represent a variety of socioeconomic levels, academic abilities, nationalities, and cultures. They are such remarkable, incredible, and hardworking individuals. They have assorted backgrounds and many live in homes where meeting their basic needs is a daily struggle. When my students come into my classroom, I want them to be able to learn and thrive in an environment where they feel safe and cared for. Many of them come to school without basic supplies and still try to do their best.

My Project

My students need flexible seating in order to help them move while learning. Middle school students are constantly on the move. Staying in their seats is hard for them and some need an outlet.

Flexible seating, such as wobble chairs, will allow my students the freedom to move while they are learning.

I want my students to be comfortable and feel safe in my classroom. I know giving my students the opportunity to learn in a new way will be help them become successful. Allowing them the freedom to move, but remain seated, is a win-win for both my students and I!
