My Students

Across the back wall in our classroom, it states, "World changers are in this room." Each day, I have the opportunity to teach future entrepreneurs, politicians, doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc.! My students know they have the power to make a difference in the world, and they work hard to ensure they have the tools and skills they will need as leaders.

My students bring energy and excitement for learning into our classroom each and every day.

Our school is a Title I school in a rural location. Despite the challenges my students face, they come to school and embrace each opportunity they are given.

My Project

It can be challenging for students to remain focused when learning and working at their desks. The days of requiring students to "sit still" are over!

Students need productive ways to focus their energy without disrupting their instruction.

Providing chair bands and chair socks will give my students the freedom to move while learning in the classroom. Chair bands will allow my students to stretch and move their feet while sitting. By staying active in their chairs, my students will then be able to concentrate their attention on doing their best work. Chair socks will give my students an additional way to wiggle at their desks. Each student will be able to move freely in his or her chair without disturbing classmates with noise.

By utilizing these tools, my students will be able to wiggle away while learning away!
