Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is an urban public school where 100% of our students receive a free breakfast and lunch. Our school is an ethnically diverse school with students speaking a multitude of languages. My students are inquisitive, funny and love to learn. My students face a myriad of challenges and they inspire me to continually look for innovative teaching strategies.
Each child in my classroom loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a group of students that are excited to learn.
My Project
I have 27 students in my class who would appreciate having wobble chairs and lap desks to change up the day and help them focus on learning.
I have many students who like to fidget or move while they work, and regular chairs don't allow them to do that.
These helpful self-regulation seating devices provide subtle movement without getting up from your seat! The calming movement makes it easier for many children to focus in the classroom. Kids Kore Wobble Chair provides an outlet for restlessness and extra energy. Using the lap desks will also provide alternate seating for kids who are completing projects on computers. Using computers while sitting on the floor is often a dangerous proposition. However, having these lap desks will make group projects much easier.
