My Students

My students come to my class full of energy, ready to learn, and eager for what the day holds in store. Each student has their own story; while I cannot control their home life, I do provide a loving, caring classroom. I want each and every one of my students to know when they enter my classroom that I genuinely want them in my room. I want them to know that we will have good days and bad days, but every day is new.

My Project

This year, I have been utilizing flexible seating in my classroom. My students have loved it. I am using metal stools, plastic crates, stability balls, wobble discs, and regular chairs. Each table has different seating. I even use four plastic trays with cushions. Every day the children rotate tables. Therefore, allowing each student to have a turn with the different seating. However, the stools have already broken, the lap trays have cracked, and the cushions are coming apart at the seams. After seeing how great the flexible seating is working, I have decided it is time to get a better quality of seating. This is why I have decided to ask for help purchasing “Wobble Stools.” The stools would take place of the crate chairs. The wobble stools would be one type of seating I will be using in my classroom allowing the children to move while learning.
