Wiggle While We Work

Help me give my students more flexible seating options. The wiggle discs and stools will help them expend energy while keeping them focused and on task! Another Osmo base will allow more students time with Osmo during math!

My Students

I am so lucky to have a group of eager learners in my class this year! We have a variety of learning styles in our classroom and I am always looking for ways to meet the needs of every one of my students.

One way I can meet the needs of my students is by providing them with an enviroment that facilitates their learning styles!

Through the funding of this project, I will have more options for seating that allows students to wiggle while they work.

My Project

Think back to your elementary school years where you spent numerous hours sitting in the same plastic chairs, year after year. What would it look like if students were given a choice of where to sit or stand to complete their work and increase their learning? My students thrive off of having choices in their learning. By providing flexible seating in my classroom, students are able to choose areas to learn that best suit their needs.

Research has shown that physical activity leads to academic success and the stools will enable students to move while they work, without distracting others around them.

With this project, more students will be able to get their wiggles out while they learn.
