My students need more flexible seating options that suit their individual learning needs. Having wobble stools and balance balls as options for students who need an outlet for their energy helps them find success!
My students are caring, curious and creative! In order to encourage these traits to blossom, they need up-to-date books, materials, and technology to help them engage in the world around them. There is also a great need to enhance learning through hands-on learning materials that encourage cooperative learning, self-expression, and problem-solving. My elementary students deserve a 21st century library space, with books, materials, technology, and cooperative learning spaces that meet the needs of all learners.
The biggest challenge is making the most of our small library space by reimagining the learning environment to accommodate all grade levels from first to fifth, as well as create a welcoming and engaging space for all to enjoy and be inspired by.
My students are avid readers and need access to more current titles, both in fiction and non-fiction. My goal for this library space is to provide learning spaces for group projects, online research, hands-on projects, and expressions of creativity.
My Project
My students in grades 1-5 will really benefit by having a variety of seating options to meet their needs. Students are able to concentrate on the task and do their best work when they have an outlet for their physical energy. It allows their brain to focus better and helps to calm them and put them at ease.
By having the option to choose a wobble stool or a balance ball, students will be given the chance to shine!
My goal with this project is to help all of my students find success and give them the proper tools that support their learning needs.
