My Project

Every day I work with students who are learning how to manage big feelings, focus their attention, and stay engaged in school. Many of my students benefit from sensory supports that help their bodies feel calm and regulated so their minds can focus on learning.

This project will provide wiggle seat cushions, adjustable footrests, and a comfortable counseling chair to create a supportive and flexible seating environment.

Wiggle cushions allow students to move safely while staying seated, which helps improve focus and reduce restlessness. Footrests provide stability and comfort for students who struggle to sit still or whose feet cannot comfortably reach the floor.

These tools will make our counseling space more welcoming and help students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. With the right sensory supports, students can build self-regulation skills, increase focus, and gain confidence in the classroom and beyond.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
