Wiggle and Wobble While We Work

My students need wobble stools to assist students that have trouble focusing. The wobble stools would give the students an opportunity to move around without distracting others. I am hoping these stools will boost student engagement.

My Students

Our school serves students in grades K-8. We have dedicated teachers, a safe environment, and strive to provide all students with rigorous instruction. We do these things despite being in a low income/high poverty school district. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in school and throughout life.

In our strive for success, we would like to better assist students that have trouble staying on task.

We are hoping to gain various seat cushions and/or chairs that have been proven to assist ADHD with their focus and fidgety behaviors. We would appreciate any help with this. Thanks for all that you do to invest in our future.

My Project

Wobble stools assist students that struggle to stay on task. They allow students to wiggle and fidget while continuing to work. The stools give the students the opportunity to move around without distracting others. I currently have two stools, but would like to increase the number of stools in my classroom to better assist more students.

I also believe that these stools will benefit students who have trouble with postural stability.

This would assist in building and strengthening their core muscles.

My goal is to increase student engagement an minimize learning barriers. Minimizing barriers and increasing students engagement will increase learning and growth.
