Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bilingual, smart, and motivated to improve their English. Most of them are newcomers and they have so many dreams to become doctors, engineers, nurses, teachers, police officers, and musicians.
I'm honored to have a group of students who are kind to each other and are quick to lend a helping hand to one another.
Many of them struggle in writing but when they improve their writing it is exciting to see them so happy and proud. Regardless of their obstacles, my students come eager to learn.
My Project
Due to Covid-19, our district is starting Virtual this September, 2020. The issue in our area is that many internet providers will not extend services to our area. My students are provided Chromebooks to connect with their teachers. The problem is that they lack internet access. I am requesting WIFI boosters to allow them to connect during our virtual classes. Helping me to acquire these tools for my students make additional efforts to support my students and their families in practice for the new year ahead!
