Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project will allow me to create a new club at school that will cultivate the creative atmosphere of our junior high students while they learn important business skills by creating and selling their own shirts to fellow junior high students.
We want to start a classroom business that makes personalized t-shirts, key chains, coffee cups, stickers, and more.
The students will create a business plan from a template to help with their ideas. The students will be responsible for marketing and taking inventory of our items. The students will learn customer services skills by taking orders, as well as delivering orders.
Our first project would be to design our classroom store's t-shirt and that can be a type of advertising. It will be a great way for the students to learn about business and test the waters of their design's popularity. I am hoping it is a springboard for their business mindset.
I want to help my students get an idea of what a start-up will look like without all the risk. These supplies will help to keep up with the latest advancements in technology. To continue strengthening entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and higher-order thinking skills, we constantly seek ways to restructure how we learn.
