I teach a class of twenty-four, amazing, first-grade students in a diverse, Title I community, located in the inner-city, in one of the largest cities in the country where all students receive free breakfast and lunch.
I have the privilege of educating my inquisitive, energetic and intellectually curious class of first graders.
They love to learn and love to show others what they've learned.
To help them overcome the challenges they may face at home, I am eager to provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences, where everyone is heard and everyone is made to feel empowered and important.
My Project
My students get so excited any time new books are placed in our classroom library. Now that many have learned to read, they are eager to read nonfiction text to learn about the world around them. This is the perfect series to introduce them to folks who've made a positive and significant impact in our lives.
This book series is engaging and brings historical figures to life!
Books like these will excite my first grade students, and get them interested in people and the impacts they've had on our society. It is perfect for all different kinds of readers and captures the attention of all. These books are not only interesting, but they also help my students learn about the world they live in. Thank you for your support, and for believing in my students' learning.
