Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are brilliant and resilient 6th graders striving for college. They are gamers and athletes, care-givers and creators (and much, much more!) - eager to unleash their brilliance in new ways every day.
Providing students from diverse backgrounds with new and engaging opportunities to learn complex skills and concepts, problem-solve, collaborate and create will take them miles on the road to college-readiness in the 21st century.
This project will provide opportunities like this for many years and many students to come!
My Project
Sphero SPRK+ robots will not only bring tremendous joy to my students, they will also be a tool for developing critical skills for their future. Students will problem-solve and persevere through trial and error to make the robots roll through mazes, paint, and even swim!
Learning coding and programming is the key to unlocking a multitude opportunities for students.
Through the use of Sphero SPRK+ robots, students will learn to work effectively in teams to create and innovate. They will also learn the basics of the coding and programming skills that will be highly desired by colleges and employers in their future.
