Who Doesn't Love Legos?

My students need some Legos to create and help them practice making simple machines.

My Students

My students are so amazing! I love them already. They're extremely respectful and hard-working. Despite poverty, their parents are focused on doing everything they can to help them succeed.

I've been teaching at my school for seventeen years, and each year I'm impressed with how hard my students work.

We're at a small district very near downtown San Jose. What sets them apart from average 3rd graders is their will to succeed and impress. They're excited to be back at school and we look forward to a great year together.

My Project

My students will really benefit from being able to "play" with Legos that allow them to build simple machines. Legos are very expensive and many of my students don't have any at home. Having two Early Simple Machine Sets at school will give me an opportunity to expose them to machine making, an integral part of STEM.

During "Fun Friday" time, students all race for my decades old Legos station.

I would be so happy to offer them new and high interest Legos. Boys and girls all love to build with Legos and having this new machine building set would be a real boost to my classroom.
