My Students
My students are amazing. They come from all sorts of backgrounds; each with their own unique story. They all have beautiful senses of humor and love a good practical joke. Most of them can’t wait to hide behind a door and jump out to scare me. They continuously play the “Circle Game” with me, and I smile constantly hearing their laughter through the halls of our school. Many of my students only ever smile when they’re at school, and so, as their teacher, it’s my job to make sure this continues.
My Project
I am in the process of creating a comfortable seating area for my high school English Language Arts class. I want a neat place for my students to sit and read. It will be colorful, comfy, and feel like their own safe space! I am hoping, by creating this area for them, it will encourage them to grab a book, relax, and get lost in one of literature’s amazing stories. With all the troubles our students face these days, they deserve that opportunities to get lost in a story. I’m really excited for my students to see this lounge area I’m creating for them! With your donation, you will be helping me build this lounge by adding to the seating area with big, purple, comfy, bean bag chairs. Your donation will be so appreciated!
