My Students

My students come from a high poverty community. Therefore, we have a great diversity of learners and abilities. They are so eager to learn, and it is my responsibility to teach them to the best of my ability! Differentiated learning is so important to narrow the achievement gap, and it's a key component of our day. My students deserve the best education possible.

These books will give them engaging book choices to read during book clubs!

These high interest books will foster a love for reading and learning along side their peers through book clubs!

My Project

Right now in our small group area, we're lacking the ability to truly display learning in an easily viewable way. We use small whiteboards to display thinking and teaching. Students need to be able to view the lesson more clearly as I'm teaching to enhance their learning and engagement.

This whiteboard will provide a way for me to display the content all at once instead of on a small whiteboard that isn't as easily viewable from students.

We will also be able to use an interactive grammar sentence on one side of the whiteboard and leave it up for students to see throughout the week.
