This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Hi! I teach first grade in Sacramento, Ca. My scholars are very excited and eager to learn. I would like to create and foster an environment that encourages children to be curious about the world around them.

My goal is to not only to support and nurture students' growth academically, but I would like to ensure they are well-rounded individuals who are kind and caring.

My goal as an educator is to create a positive learning environment for all learners.

My Project

Our whiteboard markers will help us stay focused on learning. We will be using our whiteboard markers and erasers for both writing and math. During class, especially carpet time, it is easy for scholars to become distracted if they are not actively engaged.

Our new markers will help us stay engaged with our teacher and support our learning!

With a $400 a year budget, whiteboard markers are something that I ask for as donations from parents. I appreciate all the help the parents give us, but we still run out of markers all the time because we learn so many new things!
