Help us learn our math facts! Our students were asked to buy two dry erase board markers, but my classroom was not equipped with dry erase boards!
The students in our Oklahoma school live in a high poverty area.
90% are on free and reduced lunches. Many of the kids are struggling with hard home lives. Our school is dedicated to helping our kids have hope. We want to give them a strong foundation so that as they grow up, they can make their lives better.
My Project
We need a white board for each child in my class. The white boards will get them excited to practice math facts. They will help the teacher know immediately which child did not learn the new concept. Kids will practice math, spelling, handwriting, and more. They will answer questions and play games. White boards give the teacher immediate feedback, which is priceless. The white boards are so durable that they will be used for years to come. The kids all bought their own dry erase markers, which was a miracle. But my classroom was not equipped with dry erase boards. The kids have been disappointed.
Help my class have hope for better futures.
Many of them are suffering from poverty, neglect, hunger, abuse, parents on drugs, and more. These kids need a boost to help them have immediate feedback to help them learn basic math and reading skills. White boards will greatly affect their education, and therefore, their futures. Help me show them that they are important too!
