Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Both studies and colleagues have suggested to me that an excellent way to engage students in learning activities is to provide them all with white boards and dry erase markers so that when a question is posed to the class they can all quickly write down their solution and hold up their board when they're finished. This year I'm teaching geometry and an art/math intervention course aimed at teaching the lowest achieving students the basics of mathematics through art. When students hold up the white boards I can quickly assess all of them to see that they are understanding the basic concepts and actively participating. I am asking for a class set of white boards and dry erase markers. Thank you very much for considering my proposal, and my students thank you as well.
