My Students
I am very excited to be starting my second year as a Special Education Teacher! Working with special needs students is a wonderful experience. With the support of my amazing ParaEducator, I can't wait to begin another year of making a difference for my students.
Every child needs something unique to maximize learning!
That unique thing can be as different as each child and can easily change day to day. I love meeting this challenge day in and day out and I invite you along this journey with me. Let's make a difference for a student today!
My Project
In my classroom, we learn in a very small environment. We have two groups at all times with 3-5 students. It can become quite noisy at times when all students are reading, which offers distractions from the task! Whisper phones allow students to read into one end, as their voice travels to their ear, it amplifies their voice, encouraging them to whisper, which creates a very quite classroom.
Allowing a student to hear themselves read is essential to their growth!
As students read, I am able to move from student to student and hear their progress, give powerful feedback and encourage each student individually.
