This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am asking for 2 flexible bean bag seats for my classroom library. Literacy development is critical and the younger we start, the better. In my kindergarten classroom there is an emphasis on fostering a love of reading. In order to do that I need 2 things, books and cozy, fun seating.

By creating a fun, bright and exciting space to read, my students are more interested in the area and thus more likely to choose our classroom library as an independent activity during various times during the day.

I have lots of great books for my kiddos to read and "reading buddies" to go

with them, but nothing to sit on except the floor. Please help me create a great space for some GREAT kids who really love to read!
