My Project

Organization is essential for student success—especially for students with special needs. In our Title I school district, many of my students require structured systems to help them stay focused, independent, and confident in their learning. This project seeks funding for a filing cabinet that will provide a safe, organized space to store student portfolios, individualized work, assessments, and important instructional materials.

Our students work hard every day on personalized goals outlined in their IEPs.

Having a designated place to store their portfolios, extra practice work, progress monitoring data, and modified assignments ensures that their learning materials are accessible, protected, and easy to manage. A filing cabinet will also help maintain student privacy and confidentiality while allowing teachers and support staff to efficiently track progress and provide targeted instruction.

In a special needs classroom, clutter and disorganization can be overwhelming and distracting. This filing cabinet will support a calm, structured learning environment by reducing visual overload and creating predictable routines. When materials are organized, students can better engage in learning, build independence, and take pride in their work.

By supporting this project, you are helping create an organized, supportive classroom where students’ efforts are valued and their progress is carefully documented. A simple organizational tool will make a lasting impact—allowing students to focus less on confusion and more on growth and academic success.
