Where In The United States Are We?

My students need a classroom set of United States Atlases (30 copies).

I teach fifth grade in a small rural Arkansas town. The community is very small and poor. It is hard at times to get the materials needed to get to my students. Donors Choose has been a wonderful asset for me and my students this year.

My students are hands-on learners. They have to see, touch, and experience in order for them to learn skills and actually have those skills with them for life. I try new things everyday in order to get through to my students. Map skills are something that many students lack today. Many of them have no idea where places are located in the U.S. or the world.

I am asking for US Atlases. I need a set of atlases to use in my Social Studies classes. Having these atlases will help build important map and life skills for my students. This will enable them to connect with the world around them.

Support of this project will be greatly appreciated. You will have the knowledge that you are building students knowledge of the world around them. Thank you.
