My Project

I love my students' curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to learn. As English learners, they come to school every day ready to take risks, build new skills, and share their unique experiences and cultures. They thrive when they feel safe, comfortable, and connected to one another.

A classroom rug will become the heart of our learning space.

It will provide a designated area where students can gather for whole-group instruction, read-alouds, language development activities, collaborative discussions, and community-building circles. Having a comfortable and inviting meeting area helps students stay engaged and focused while fostering a sense of belonging.

For many of my students, learning a new language can feel challenging. A welcoming space where they can sit together, listen, share ideas, and practice speaking builds both confidence and communication skills. The rug will help create an organized environment where every student has a place to learn, participate, and grow.

This resource is more than just a classroom rug. It is a gathering place where friendships are formed, stories are shared, and learning comes to life. Your support will help create a warm, inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and ready to succeed.
