What's That Rumble in Our Tummy? Winter of 2023

Help me give my students crackers and fruit snacks to have available when they are hungry.

My Project

Continuing to have my students prepared to learn is critical in their academic lives. This includes making sure that they have gotten a small something to eat when they are hungry to help them make it to lunch time in our academic day. Each and every academic minute counts. I would like to continue to be able to take the distraction of a rumbling, noisy tummy out of their schooling.

Having snacks available in my classroom for my students to eat as needed will help remove the distraction of hunger before lunch time.

We have lunch and then we have have specials right after lunch. In the morning heavy academic work load time, we use up a lot of energy that needs to be replenished in order to make it through lunch time and then other subjects at the end of the day. Having these snacks will also slow down the need for families to go to the nearby corner store multiple times a week and buy those really large bags of snacks, you know, the family size ones that they bring to school since that is the size they see first.
