This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are truly an amazing group that is eager to learn. I feel that they absolutely love learning and strive to do their best daily. However, their level of learning and individual learning struggles make it difficult for them to achieve their learning goal.
In our classroom, a variety of learning strategies and learning options are incorporated into our daily routine to ensure that each student's needs are met because it is imperative that they have the best educational experience that they can imagine.
It is truly a blessing to engage and interact with such an amazing group of students.
My Project
For this project I am requesting books on diversity and overcoming obstacles. The materials selected for this project will be used to inspire and encourage my students to work with fidelity; to use their mind to inspire greatness.
We remember our History for learning, teaching, inspiring, and growing!
Therefore, I am creating this project to use the listed books to do just that. During the month of February, as we study black history, I would like to encourage my students to create something great. The books will be placed in our reading center in a special place for easy access. Daily, I will highlight one of the books for inspiration. During center time, or if students prefer working at home, they will use materials available to them to create a useful item. Students will think about inventors in the past and their purpose. At the end of February, students will display their projects with a short bio about them, the project, and its purpose.
