My Project
This project was created to provide students with the opportunity to experience watching the cycle from egg to chick! I have done this project for three years now, but unfortunately need some updated supplies before we get started. I always love for students to be able to see firsthand the process of choosing eggs for incubation, candling eggs, and watching them hatch into chicks.
This experience will not only teach students the development process of chickens, but will also teach students responsibility.
Students will have the job of making sure the eggs have the correct temperature and humidity levels. After the chicks hatch, they will also care for the chickens by providing their needs such as a clean box. Every year, fifth graders look forward to the chick-hatching season, so they have this opportunity!
