Due to the coronavirus and remote learning, my student's exposure to reading has been very limited. In addition to this, I am a first year teacher with a very small library. For this project I have chosen to add books that will encourage my students to read more and strengthen comprehension. For example, my students love books about animals, so I chose a lot of books that have an animal character! The books that I've chosen targets my students' specific interests and reading levels. It is my goal to encourage them to become better readers. Another goal is to have enough books for my students to read at least two books per week from our library!
