I listen to what our readers want to read. Through in-person conversations, emails, surveys, and staff, I work to fill the library with books our teens request. One goal is having a diverse collection of books to appeal to as many kids as possible, including manga sets.
Kids will read what they love.
In a survey, I found that teens who consider themselves non-readers still love Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and I want to bolster our collection, so we always have an old favorite or new edition on the shelf. A female manga reader requested the manga set, and it will provide fresh and different type of manga for more diverse appeal.
