What! The Computer is Broken Again?

My students need a computer that is not always breaking down. They also need headphones and a keyboard.

My Students

This computer is old outdated and almost never works! Our students deserve better.

This is a great bunch of students.

They are so kind and compassionate. The class is a mix of seventh and eighth graders and many of the special needs students on our campus are given a peer buddy and participate in the general class activities. Our middle school does an excellent job of focusing on what our students are good at and making sure each student is set up for success. Many of the students try to use the computer to work on math, science, and or language arts classwork or assigned activities. However, this has not been happening lately. While we do have computers in our computer lab it requires planning ahead of time and is limited by the use of all the classes in our school. Sometimes it is nice to have a few FUNCTIONAL computers that the students can use during class time as needed.

My Project

The computer requested meets all the specifications outlined by our district and is supposed to be a good way to allow equal access for those student that do have differing abilities. The screen is large in size and has the ability of touch interface which is nice for some of the science and math activities that are supplementary. The visual graphics will then be interactive either by touch or by using the keyboard and mouse. The earphones are designed to minimize outside sound and also keep from distracting other students who are not using the device.

This is a great way to support education!
