Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students have no idea what lacrosse is. They have heard of it, but never seen it and do not even know what it looks like, but the name they have heard.

Having lacrosse equipment to familiarize the students with would open up so many opportunities for these students.

Our school does not offer lacrosse as a sport yet, but hopefully one day it will. Having equipment ready to go and setting up a club, students would be able to familiarize themselves with what the sport is about.

The next step would be to offer it as a gym class and finally to have a team. Lacrosse is a growing sport, I would love to see my students get involved with.
